The Recruiting Manager Europe will work closely with HR to manage sourcing, interviewing, and employment processes. To be successful in this role, the Recruiting Manager Europe should have experience leading effective teams to outcomes, especially in similar, high-volume recruiting environments. Additionally, the Recruiting Manager Europe should operate with a sense of urgency to meet the demands of the business and partner well with others as we work to identify top talent quickly.

Essential Functions:

  • Set the strategic direction and execution of the European Labour Plan to improve programs at scale
  • Build, managing and growing a high performing Recruiting activities
  • Create the foundational infrastructure of processes, tools, systems, and frameworks to enable HR to deliver predictable, efficient, and scalable results
  • Build and Managing the key process, systems, workflows to continue to scale our recruiting activities
  • Scale recruiting insights and using data to build forward thinking analytics to inform strategic decision making
  • Partner closely with HR & Business Leaders to distill complex issues into structured frameworks and action plans
  • Partner with HR to guide and implement creative sourcing strategies in an effort to identify competitive candidates for our open positions.
  • Ensure consistent execution of our recruiting process, and identify opportunities to streamline the work, to ultimately reduce the time it takes to fill open roles and to ensure compliance in our process.
  • Manage the relationship with our assessment vendor to ensure the tool serves its intended function in identifying high quality candidates that have the greatest likelihood for success in the role.
  • Utilize recruiting metrics in an effort to manage the team to high-performing results.
  • Ensure the HR operates with a sense of urgency to quickly respond to the needs of the business.
  • Manage and evaluate vendor partners that will improve the quality and timeliness of our work, including job boards, ATS integration tools, etc.
  • Continue existing programs and implement new avenues to increase Americold’s employer brand/market communication initiatives and awareness with a broader range of candidates.
  • Drive programs to ensure a good candidate experience throughout our application and hiring process.
  • Prepare executive summaries, reports, and updates as needed to offer visibility into the recruiting process and results.
  • Assist with identifying opportunities to enhance and optimize the applicant tracking system. Offer training and support to Recruiters on this tool as needed.
  • Maintain a personal req load to support recruiting efforts as required by business need.
  • Other related duties as business requires.

Profiel

Education, Training & Professional Experience:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area (Human Resources, Communications or Business) or relevant work experience.
  • Minimum 7+ year of experience in the Talent Acquisition and Recruiting space, with specific prior cross border experience managing a high performing, high volume recruiting function.
  • Proven experience within a fast-paced matrix environment, leading the European Talent Acquisition function of a US multinational/global organization, achieving results through effective influencing and collaborating.
  • Experience in warehousing, logistics, supply chain, transportation or manufacturing industries strongly preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of recruiting processes, key metrics, and what levers will most dramatically improve the efficiency and effectiveness throughout various stages of scaling
  • Experience with systems migrations or consolidations
  • Framework for prioritization and risk/reward weighing tradeoffs
  • Strong group facilitation, communication, and presentation skills required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including senior management and 3rd parties across borders and cultures.
  • Prior experience managing an Applicant Tracking System.
  • An analytical mindset, structured thinker, and strong attention to detail
  • Someone who is self-motivated and self-directed

  • Strong business acumen and the ability to communicate effectively (both verbal and in writing) at all levels of the company, including field associates, corporate managers and executives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and relationship building ability. Demonstrated teamwork/collaborative work style with a customer focused approach. Build trusted relationships with HR & Business Leaders
  • Excellent project and program management skills.
  • Strong execution and problem solving abilities. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Ability to make quick decisions utilizing data, experience, and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Proven ability as a self-starter and thrives in an entrepreneurial role.
  • Possesses flexibility and initiative to assist in related areas. Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple competing deadlines.
  • Experience in operations-related business with multiple locations is a plus.
  • Experience in managing company-wide Immigration & Relocation programs is a plus.

Abilities:

The role requires the individual to be a self-starter, be able to work independently. The individual will frequently work outside of regular work hours in order to meet the requirements of the business.
